Bilingual Education Alliance (England) – BEA

Bilingual Education Alliance (BEA) is a professional network of leaders of bilingual schools, academics and policymakers to share best practices around bilingual education, including pedagogy, operations and funding.

​

It promotes and disseminates insights to families and communities as well education professionals on the benefits of bilingual education; and engages with government and other relevant bodies on bilingual/multilingual education in England.

​

It supports the broader advancement of foreign language teaching and learning; and advocates for education underpinned by the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of families and communities.

​

BEA is open to any full-time schools operating in England with a bilingual or multilingual curriculum in any combination of languages.

 

BEA operates as a professional voluntary network.

​

Governance.  General management and strategic leadership is set by the board members, who are approved on application each year. All members contribution to the BEA’s activities.
